Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Awude, trading as MikeOps, based in Portugal, who runs Ponte at ponte.mikeops.pro. In these terms, "we" and "us" means him. You accept them when you create an account, sign in with Apple or Google, or agree to them in the app. If you do not agree, please do not use Ponte.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.

2. Who can use Ponte

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use Ponte.

3. Your account

• Give us a real email address that you can access.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us at contact@mikeops.pro.

4. Using Ponte fairly

Please do not:

• send invitations to people who have not asked for them, or use the invitation feature to send spam,
• use offensive, hateful or misleading names in Live Quiz, or harass other players,
• cheat in Live Quiz, for example with tools that answer for you, or interfere with other players' games,
• try to break, overload or get around the security of Ponte, or access anyone else's account or data,
• copy Ponte's lessons, questions or other content in bulk, or use automated tools to scrape it,
• use Ponte for anything illegal.

5. Live Quiz

Live Quiz is a friendly game. Scores are just for fun and have no value. The person who creates a room is its host: they choose who stays, and can remove a player from their room before a game starts, never during one. A removed player cannot rejoin that game. Any player can report another player, or block them so they no longer see their name and the blocked player cannot join rooms they host. We review every report within 24 hours, and may close rooms, and suspend or close accounts, that break section 4.

Only share an invitation link with people you want to play with. Anyone with the link or the room code can ask to join while the room is open.

6. Our content

The lessons, questions, explanations, audio, design and the Ponte name belong to MikeOps. You may use them for your own learning. You may not republish or sell them.

Ponte is a study aid. It is not connected to, or endorsed by, any official exam body. We take care over accuracy, but we cannot promise that every explanation is perfect or that using Ponte means you will pass an exam. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

7. Your progress

Your progress belongs to you. We store it so you can use it on any device, and you can export it from Settings whenever you like.

8. Changes to Ponte

Ponte is free, and it is still growing. We may add, change or remove features, and in the future we may offer paid extras. We will not start charging you for anything without asking you first. If we ever close Ponte, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your progress.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Ponte at any time, and delete your account yourself under Settings, Delete my account. You can also ask us to do it by emailing contact@mikeops.pro.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide Ponte free of charge and "as is". We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error free or suited to your particular goals.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that the law says cannot be limited, or our responsibility for anything the law does not allow us to exclude.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the version and date at the top. The next time you open Ponte, we will ask you to read them and agree again. If you do not agree, you can stop using Ponte and ask us to delete your account.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If there is a dispute, the Portuguese courts can decide it. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws of your own country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first, and we will try to put it right. In Portugal, consumers can also use an alternative dispute resolution entity, which is listed on the Portuguese Consumer Portal at consumidor.gov.pt.
